Liverpool has started the season in excellent form and Alexis Mac Allister is enjoying the Reds’ controlled approach under Arne Slot

 

 

Alexis Mac Allister says he “loves” Arne Slot’s tactical approach to football and admits he likes the amount of ball he sees thanks to the Dutchman’s possession-based style. Slot has added an element of control to the Reds’ game after the football favoured by former manager Jurgen Klopp, and as a result the Reds have made a strong start to the season in seven of their eight games in all competitions. Liverpool have won their opening games in the UEFA Cup and Champions League,

 

 

 

and sit top of the Premier League after taking 15 points from their first six league games. There are many similarities between Klopp’s style of play and Slot’s, as the new Reds manager has been quick to point out on several occasions since the start of the season, but Slot’s shift to a more focused approach to possession has been well-received. Mac Allister Asked how far Liverpool are from reaching their peak under Slot, Mac Allister told Premier League Productions: “I think the team already knows what the manager wants,

 

 

but as I said, it’s not that easy, there are good days and bad days.
