Jamie Carragher names three players who should definitely start for Liverpool vs Atalanta next week

Liverpool have a big job on their hands to make it beyond the Europa League quarter-finals.

Following their 3-0 defeat to Atalanta on Thursday, the Reds will have to travel to Italy and score at least three unanswered goals next week. As we saw at Anfield, Atalanta are a good team. It’s not easy. With the Premier League title race falling to both sides in the second leg, Jamie Carragher urged Jurgen Klopp to field a weak side in Bergamo.

Liverpool face Crystal Palace tomorrow and will need to sort out any remaining issues in their system before kick-off. On the other side of Thursday’s game, Klopp takes his side to Craven Cottage to face Fulham on Sunday. Speaking again today, Carragher once again stated that the Liverpool manager just needs to prioritize the title race and offered advice to Klopp’s army.

Some will fully agree with Carragher’s view that Liverpool will capitulate next Thursday. Klopp certainly has the balance on his hands.

However, remember that the Reds have players who have just returned from injury and therefore have a very good squad. Rotation does not mean a sharp drop in quality. When asked by YouTube channel Blood Red: Liverpool FC to clarify his comments today, Carragher admitted that the returning players were the ones he intended to let go of.

The Liverpool legend said: “I will not talk about the second season, I will not talk about the boys. “I say like: Trent fight, Jota fight, Curtis Jones. Maybe he plays the goalkeeper role. “I just think when you have to play four away games in ten days, which Liverpool have to do. Playing away in Europe on Thursday and then going to Fulham on Sunday,

I think just playing your best team and doing everything you can , that may not be enough because it will be very difficult. “Then you go to Fulham and you’re not at your best, you’re not playing well at Fulham, and then you fall behind in the title race. This title is much bigger than the Europa League. Honestly, a lot of what Carragher says makes a lot of sense. Liverpool should use Thursday’s game as a way to land the likes of Trent,

Jota, Jones and even Alisson Becker.

On game day, these four players could become the Reds’ best eleven. So it’s not necessarily a decline. Go out there and give it everything you’ve got, and if you do, great. Otherwise, you will have less playing time and will be more rested in the final six games.

As for other positions on the team, we really wouldn’t be opposed to giving someone like Jayden Dance a chance. Yes, he is young and can be seen waving the white flag. But Dance is contributing more than any other top striker at Liverpool at the moment. Put him in with some old people and some young enthusiasts and tell them to pour all their hearts out. You never know

day, all four of those players can get into

In fairness, a lot of what Carragher is .
