The full Liverpool squad available for Wednesday’s Premier League fixture against Sheffield United
Jurgen Klopp will be without six first-team players for Liverpool’s trip to Sheffield United on Wednesday as injuries set in at Anfield.
Joel Matip became the latest squad member to visit the treatment room at the AXA Center when he was taken off the field in the second half of Sunday’s return win over Fulham.
The Cameroonian’s injury comes after Diogo Jota and Alisson Becker were injured in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City last month.
Speaking in a press conference on Tuesday, Klopp revealed that Matip could face a long spell on the bench due to the injury, which he said “doesn’t look good”.
This means that for their trip to Bramall Lane against Sheffield United on Wednesday, the Red Devils will be without the aforementioned trio as well as Andy Robertson, Thiago Alcantara and Stefan Bajcic, who have been sidelined for significant periods of recent months. This is the full lineup that Jurgen Klopp will call up on Wednesday.
